When I run KaNat I get runtime error 13, type mismatch. The program then closes and this repeats every time i open the program.

1ghz, 512mb ram, gf ti4600, win xp home, cable, wrt54g linksys router (wireless)

Im getting the same error message with the latest Kazaa soft.

Do you use Kazaa (KMD) or Kazaa Lite?

I also get the "Run-time Error '13': Type mismatch" error whenever I launch KaNAT. Running KaNAT version 0.3.7 KaZaA lite is 1.7.1, although the error happens whether KaZaA is running or not. I reinstalled the VB download, but no help there either.

Can someone tell me when exactly the error message appears? Before or after the KaNAT window is shown? Can you see any informations (LAN IP, WAN IP or Kazaa port) before this happens? Have you changed any settings etc.

I just installed KL and then KaNat (newest versions).

Got the same thing with Windows2000 and VBruntime6 installed. The main screen starts up, then the error-messages appears and after clicking 'OK' the KaNAT finishes.

Just a follow-up to my message of December 2. I upgraded to the latest KaZaA Lite K++ v2.4.3 and my problem cleared up. I think that the old 1.7.1 version I was running is probably substantially different from the current version, and therefore did not work at all with KaNAT.

And to confirm the post of another user:
KaNAT window would launch, showing blank fields and a seperate runtime error 13 window would pop up in the foreground. Click ok on the error message and the KaNAT window would also close.

Works great now with the new KaZaA Lite K++ version though. Thanks!

Haven't tested KaNAT with pre 2.x Kazaa versions so far. But it should work with any Kazaa Lite version 2.0.x - 2.4.3 (latest). I need more informations with what version of Kazaa this error occurs.

Got the same error. But think I know the problem...

I noticed that I had to reinstall KaNAT AFTER installing/upgrading KaZaaLite (any version). After reinstalling it, it worked like a charm.

See if that works for u if ur having this error.

cant we use knat without kazaa installed?

KaNAT only works for Kazaa.
