Okay So I recently tried something different as well.
I have had many problems as all of you have had lately. I even turned my computer back to its factory settings for 2002.
Reinstalled all my old saved files Klite and added the old KMD version etc...
And still nothing.
So the next question is where do we all go?
This program saved me so much $$$ I was able to buy myself a kick ass car. And now I can't do shit with it. Where do we all go next?

That depends on what you want and how you want it. If you want quick, fast, instant access to music and a shitload of other files, get a Gnutella client like LimeWire/FrostWire, or an eDonkey client like eMule -- that's where most Kazaa users have migrated to. If you want extremely large files like movies/HDTV content then BitTorrent is more suitable.
Personally I'd have no problem switching to another network. After all, what defines content on the network is the population, and if the same people who used Kazaa now use LimeWire, I can get get the same kinda shit I used to get on Kazaa. What I hate is the piece of utter SHIT client that doesn't match the features/user friendliness/professional design that Kazaa Lite has. It seriously needs a re-design.
Unfortunetaly that's the only alternative option for now. No matter what you try, the stigma associated with Kazaa that it's full of spyware/malware/viruses/fake files will never be dismissed by the public -- Kazaa or Kazaa Lite, anything with the label "Kazaa" is recognized as spyware by most people. You can get a couple thousand to start using the network again but that'll be useless as it will be a tiny database of files that doesn't match the amount on Gnutella.

Yeah, and when I visited another forum recently, one guy said he thought Kazaa was shut down by the RIAA. And everyone that added a reply said they don't use Kazaa anymore. A sad state of affairs. I'm with Industrial_One in the belief that K-Lite is a hell of a good program.

Due to close 100% failure rate of Kazaa and Bearshare I've changed over too.

BearShare (atleast the newer versions) should be avoided.

I never really used BearShare 'cuz it looked gay to me at first glance, but may I ask what's wrong with it? Malware? What about BearShare Lite?

I was looking into BearShare Lite a little while back - looked like possibilities, but I didn't get into it. Yeah, Lite - why stay away?
