Comodo Personal Firewall v.2.3.5.62
System Safety Monitor (makes up for ZA's weaknesses)
Nod32
Spysweeper
Spywareblaster
CCleaner
Opera

Occasional manual scan with:
a-squared free
SuperAntispyware free
Ad-aware free
CWshredder
RootkitRevealer
Hijackthis
Use Starter to check processes
Overkill? Maybe, but thats ok.
UPDATED! Replaced ZAfree with Comodo.

@Wheelie, didn't you find Cyberhawk quite buggy? The version i used made my system "lock up" for a few seconds at random times.

Dang Lite! You mean to tell me for the past few days Cyberhawk is what's been causing that. I've been expierencing the same thing. I've did scan after scan the past few days thinking I had some kind of virus or trojan or something but never found anything. Oddly the only way I could stop it for a lengthy period of time was to uninstall and reinstall Opera. It was like the operadef6.ini and the standard_skin.zip files slowed scans to a crawl but not after reinstalling. Thx for telling me that. I'm gonna uninstall Cyberhawk and see it the problem goes away.
Edit: Uninstalled Cyberhawk. Hope that solves my problem. Now I need a replacement for it.

Maybe you should try to submit the bug report... perhaps you'll get a reply.

During uninstall it opened Opera asking why I uninstalled. I reported it then.

Always running:
none
Scans only:
Kaspersky Anti Spyware
Cleaning:
CCleaner
The main reason for no Active Security is bcoz I dont have internet at home.
but at office HP uses Sygate firewall and Norton Corporate edition Antivirus
M$ network uses Firewall Client for ISA Server and eTrust Antivirus

Just updated my list. Replaced ZA free with Comodo now that they released the latest public final v.2.3.5.62 Friday. This FW is shaped up to be a really good free FW. Much better than v2.3.3.33beta I had used earlier before returning to ZA.

I use no form of security as well, as of yet no problems, I have always followed the safe surfing policy, but When something does happen,(normally due to friends) I can usually correct it with minimal fuss.
my computer is set not to show ads, I know there are google ads on this site, ON my computer I've never seen them. that's why it was hell for me to set them up on my-k-lite, I could never see the end result.
See NO adds

Its a matter of how paranoid you are and what you have to loose.....

a naked computer hooked up to the Internet and the user not even surfing the web or checking email will get infected in a few minutes...safe habits or not ..."something" is needed for protection

dmog if that were true, my computer would be loaded with stuff, and yet has nothing, this comp is 3 years old and still running clean.
If I were to run a spyware, antivirus, or adaware check Right now it would come up empty handed.
The only thing needed for protection is a brain, Though I don't recommend this route for everyone.

that may be fine for you and me ..if we had no kids running amok on the Internet via our computers... i would like to see you say that you have no security if you had two or three teenagers with Internet access on your connection

it's like comparing apples to rotten oranges...just not the same....
