Following an endless number of thread with reference to "K-Lite Not Connecting", i thought it would be wise to make a sticky on how you can correct it smile.gif .
  • Download and install an updated supernodes list (double click it and click yes when it asks you to merge. K-Lite needs to closed before running the file).
  • Ensure your firewall is correctly configered (Will need to allow ALL TCP and UDP connections for kazaa.core)
  • Try changing Kazaa's port (Anything >3500 usually)
  • If behind a router, ensure ports are correctly forwarded (visit http://www.portforward.com for more information , you can also try our connection test to make sure your portforward has worked)
  • If behing a coperate firewall try connecting to supernodes at "port 80" (you may also need to use a HTTP tunnelling tool, but these are usuaully expensive or slow)
Hope this helps guys.

I've tried all of these, but still, K-Lite just won't connect at all.

=_=

This worked like a charm. Too bad I spent two days loading and reloading. Should've spent more time on a forum.
Thanks.

Hello everybody smile.gif

Since I use kazalite for years now I never tought I will post anything in thread like this but infortunately here I am.....

I have new notebook acer travlemate and had to reinstal everything from old toshiba so it comes that I need to reinstal my dear kazalite as well, unfortuantely first time I was asked about to make some upgrade from 2.4 to 2.7X which I did and kshiled asked me for k......en.exe which I found here and follow all instruction step by step......install it in same directory etc, everything), after I got message from kshiled, bla bla its finished I pressed the button ok and again recieved same message as on begining, kshield again said traffic.core has not been recognized etc....., did all the same again with same results, I probably reinstalled it 10 times, also I tried several versions, KLT as well, and finnaly only I got chance to even come to see that something is connecting is ++ version which I left for more than hour to ocnnect but no succes, changed the port, shut down the firewal, anitvirus, everything........

its really strange for because so far I installed kazalite at least on 20 PC's I had or to my friends in last several years, never had any problems and connection was superfast and always great (only for first connection I had to wait for few minutes)......

just to add that klite was nsane production (which is curently down) and kaza lite++ which I find somehwere on forums.....

ps I also installed 2 different patches for xp that doesnt allow etc...., and also its trange that on toshiba still everything is perfect no metter I use LAN (same IP etc)

thx in advance

please if anyone see what could be solution or if I missed something to tell me

The traffic.core problem is caused by your anti-virus/ spyware software (falsely) detecting it as malware. As when used by K-Lite it doesn't do its "job" (ie show gold icons). It is needed to show traffic details.

For connection issues try the suggestions above.

thx for quick reply, however, I shut down my AV and deinstal windows defender, installed again and this time no AV jump out to say it caught traffic.core plus some file with tmp extension and again I got pop put traffic.core is not recognized put ....en.exe in any folder which I did but no reaction.
++ version gets trough instalation quickly and easily but no connection again, changed the ports, hm, it looks I will give my notebook to someone with more details knowlidge, it is obvious I am missing someting all the time:/

this site really percisly explain all issues and I feel little bit dumb that I cant get it working... ph34r.gif
