Hi
There are as many answers to your question as there are people who try to answer it (as I'm sure you can see by looking around here). If you read some of my old work from last year, you'll find that a lot of trouble was from reasons beyond our control - forces at work to stop P2P. But my experiences since about March 2008 have been good and I'm not spending time crying about it here in this forum. (although available material is not as good due to the lack of participating members.) What I am experiencing now is a usual green connection light (in the lower right K-Lite screen) in about 10 - 30 seconds after the program loads, with lower-left showing about .5M to .7M available files. Occasionally I don't connect right away - and I select WEB in the top-left and get connected here in the forum. While I read here, and wait for the green light in the lower-right of the screen. You may have to wait several minutes - maybe five minutes. Sometimes it takes awhile. Other things you can try that have occasionally worked for me: click on the File in the top-left - in the drop-down select CONNECT. This always sends a signal to Kazaa (my firewall displays transmit/receive in my tray) - unfortunately it's usually no help.... but it might. Then you can play around with the supernode thing (click on the "Z" at the top) it's said that you need a current supernode list (that you can download from here in the forum.) But if you read some of my old work here, I don't find the lists neither up-to-date nor much help. |

Very nice post with a ton of informative information. I really appreciate the fact that you approach these topics from a stand point of knowledge and information
instead of the typical “I think” mentality that you see so much on the internet these days. |
