I used Kazaa Lite all from v1.2 thru v2.4.3, and liked it a lot. But all of a sudden kazaa lite stopped returning results, connection took longer and longer, and real-life problems came in the way. A friend told me that limewire was better (ask me, it sucks), but i didn't like it at all. I also fought with dc++, but all servers i find have filters (share x.x gb). And DC++ didn't find my shared files so it didn't work. So now i'm back at kazaa again. But there are 0.0m users sharing 0gb, a regular search like madonna returns 24 results. Seriously, last time kazaa functioned properly at my computer, it returned 4-500 results to madonna. So it feels like i'm all alone in this big world. Has Kazaa been totally overrun by torrent and DC++? Or is there something i'm missing?

(I don't really like madonna, it was just the first thing that popped into my mind)

You are definitely not alone. If you check around this forum for other posts with my name, you can read about my same troubles. It all started for me early this year. For a long time I was experiencing very limited amount of users with low totals of files. And I too tried using something to search for that I thought there would be lots of sharing. (I used something even much older than you used - Tom Jones - not that I particularly like him - it was something old that just came to mind laugh.gif ) things seem at there worst this week. Tonight I show connected to a Node that has "0.0M users on-line, 0.0M files shared (0 GB)" - and a check on the "status" of the Nodes shows "error". Usually when it's like this, old Tom comes back with no search results at all, but tonight there are five. (but I have to add that there are never any downloading possible from these bogus-type "error" Nodes - all down load attempts (for test purposes using old Tom) always come back "more sources needed")

Two things seems to have occured: 1) some group has found a way to generate fake Supernodes that really share nothing to cripple P2P; 2) the global feature of P2P is somehow reduced so that connection to good Nodes is limited in area making for small-to-none search results.

I've tried DC++ and Limewire also and would prefer Kazaa if it would work.

I've tried for help in this forum, but so far have found none... but I keep looking.

If you find anything to share about this problem, please come back and share it.
