I've connected in the past okay. Haven't used Klite for about six months. Tried to use it today and it never connected. All the setup is the same. I used to download a .reg file from somewhere, I don't know where. I found a post in the forum from 2003 that pointed to a reg file so I downloaded it and put it in my registry. But it didn't help. If I remember right there's virtually nothing we can do but I'm asking just in case, is there any trouble shooting procedure? Are there new .reg files to pick up? Is klite still operational or has it died beneath onslaught of the highly moralistic copyright 'protectors'? How many folks are aware of what the copyrighters are shooting for, I wonder? They're not really after you and I, you know. If they can establish this copyright thing world wide then there's shortly nearly three BILLION people coming online - all of China and all of India. You'll make one popular record and you'll be a billionaire, ludicrous and lopsided as that is I suppose you could make some sort of argument of okay that's the gods of luck smiling on a lover of art and music (though I think its very doubtful that there are any such nowadays) - but regardless of the fortunes of the odd singer/band/muso here and there, the record companies and their bludging owners, executives and assorted hangers-on will be in clover for ever and a day.... Ludicrous in this day and age. But that's what they're going for.... |

There's some useful information in:
K-Lite v2.7 > Tips and Tricks > Sticky: Solutions to K-Lite Not Connecting. This info has been updated this year. I tried to put URL here with topic 9807, but the result kept coming up as a bad address. This post has been edited by monte236 on Friday, Oct 26, 2007 11:43 pm |
