Everything seems to be fine i connect to the server i see how many uses are online but it wont pull any search results up when i enter a search
[added] Ok i checked out the faq something i should have done before i posted.. and i found that link to check your klite connection and it said it failed. so then i thought it was my windows firewall because i dont have a router and its the only thing i have running atm. so i open the port up and still the same results. i have no idea why it wont work.. any insight would be greatly appreciated. I'm not getting much results myself. You mention that your display shows how many users are online. What number of users to you see? I always see 0.0M users since the beginning this year. I've found that some of my problem is bad supernodes is the reason for no search results. If you use the KaZuperNodes feature of K-Lite, you can check to see the status of the supernode you are connected to. If the status results come back as an "error" - that's the reason you are not getting any results. It's usual in this case for the searches never to finish (continue forever in "performing search")

.6 mill users online.. I'm not sure if it's my firewall or not. I've played around with it for a couple hours and i just cant get it working. i havent use k-lite since 2.4.3 Its a really good program and i'd love to use it again.

The only time I see .6M users is when the KazuperNodes comes back with "error" when I do a node check. (the node is no good). I don't usually even trying doing any searching with a bogus node - just do a node jump.
K-Lite 2.4.3 is pretty old now - 2.7.2 (the latest that I know of) has some good refinements. But I don't think our problem has anything to do with either version. I'm thinking the trouble is the Kazaa Node network (apart from the bogus nodes). It looks like to me that the nodes don't connect world-wide - only connect with a small area. I'm getting connected to good nodes, and the amount of files shown is vastly different from one node to the next - (one may show 50GB and the next show 18,000GB - but alway .0M users in my case). - and always now doing "search more" never gets any more searches (always quickly goes back to stop. - as if there is limited connections. |
